​​​​​​​Security tension between groups affiliated with Damascus government in Hasaka

Private sources reported to ANHA correspondent in the city of Hasaka that defections had occurred in the ranks of the National Defense mercenaries, while members of the Damascus government took control of 4 National Defense points and stationed what are locally called the Hajana forces in their place.

The sources explained: "The security square area has been witnessing a security alert for 2 days, amid defections in the ranks of the National Defense mercenaries, and the house of one of their leaders called Abdel Qader Hamo has been besieged".

According to the sources, the person called Abdel Qader Hamo, at 03:00 last night, detonated an underground tanker to break the siege on his house, but the siege and tension still continue".

The city of Hasaka witnessed security tension between the Jabour tribe and the National Defense mercenaries, loyal to the government forces, on August 13, against the backdrop of Abdel Qader Hamo’s assault on one of the tribe’s notables, while the Jabour tribe’s advisor, Akram Mahshush, explained to ANHA agency: “The recent events and security tension in the security square in the city of Hasaka came after demands and pressure from the tribe on Damascus government officials in Hasaka to dissolve the National Defense Forces, led by Abdel Qader Hamo".
