The people of the towns of Al-Shuhail, Al-Busayra, Al-Hawij, and Thibain began to breathe a sigh of relief after their villages and towns were cleansed of ISIS cells, Nawaf Al-Bashir’s mercenaries, and criminal elements, which crossed the Euphrates River from areas under the control of the Damascus government.

On August 27, the SDF, under the leadership of the Deir ez-Zor Military Council, launched a security and military operation under the name “Security Enhancement,” targeting mainly ISIS mercenary cells, which during the past year carried out more than 60 attacks against the Syrian Democratic Forces, Internal security and the people of the region. In addition to pursuing drug dealers and criminal elements that committed crimes against the people and public institutions, and on September 8, the Syrian Democratic Forces ended the basic military operations in Deir ez-Zor, and confirmed that it will deal firmly with anyone who seeks to destabilize the security and stability of the region.

After cleaning the villages from Nawaf al-Bashir's mercenaries and criminal groups that crossed the Euphrates River from areas under the control of the Damascus government, such as Al-Shuhail, Al-Busayra, Al-Hawija, and Thibain, life gradually returned to it. In turn, the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Military and Civil Councils of Deir ez-Zor meet the people’s requirements for raw and basic materials such as bread and water.

Correspondents in Deir ez-Zor monitored the movement of residents within the towns of Al-Shuhail and Thibain, where the markets were crowded, in addition to monitoring the distribution of bread by the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Deir ez-Zor Military Council to the people, who expressed their happiness at the return of security and stability, and confirmed their support for their forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces.
