​​​​​​​Failure of ground attack by Turkish occupation state on Manbij

ANHA correspondent from the city of Manbij reported that the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation state launched, in the late hours of last night, an expanded ground attack on the northern and western countryside of Manbij, accompanied by intense artillery and missile shelling.

The fighters of the Manbij Military Council responded to the attack launched by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation state, as a result of which clashes erupted that continued until the dawn hours of the day.

The attack by the Turkish occupation state mercenaries focused on the villages of Arab Hassan, Al-Mohsenli, Al-Tokhar, Um Adasa and Um Jaloud in the northern and western countryside of Manbij.

ANHA correspondent confirmed that the fighters of the Manbij Military Council thwarted the attack, which resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries among the ranks of the mercenaries, and the destruction of a number of the vehicles with which they attacked.

Meanwhile, the northern and western countryside of the city of Manbij is witnessing bombardment with artillery and missiles coming from Turkish bases in the southern countryside of the occupied city of Jarabulus.

Since August 27, the Turkish occupation state has escalated its attacks on northern and eastern Syria, targeting Shahba, Manbij, Ain Issa and Tal Tamr, in conjunction with the operation launched by the Syrian Democratic Forces “security enhancement” on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River in the Deir ez-Zor against ISIS mercenary cells, drug dealers and outlaws and foreign armed groups.
