Notables of Afrin, Al-Shahba and Aleppo confirm their support for SDF

The office of clan notables in Afrin, al-Shahba and Aleppo made two separate statements, in which they called on all Syrians to close ranks and stand with the SDF against policies aimed at creating sedition in Deir ez-Zor.

Notables of the clans in Afrin and al-Shahba cantons gathered in front of their center located in the village of al-Wahshiyya in the Favin district of al-Shahba canton.

The member of the Diwan, Miad Arslan called on the Syrians to be vigilant against sedition, saying: "We, the notables, appeal to all Syrians, with all their components, and all the peace-loving national and tribal forces not to be dragged behind propaganda."

He stated that "forces that have an interest in fighting the Syrian people" have sown discord among them.

The notables' statement also called: "The components to stand with the Syrian Democratic Forces in order to spread security in Syria."

In the same context, the clans' notables in Aleppo made a statement, in the presence of a number of notables in front of their center located in the western part of Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo city.

The statement was read by the member of the Committee of Tribal Notables, Ibrahim Khoja from the Al-Umayrat clan.

The statement indicated: "The attempt of some parties to breach the social fabric based on the unity of blood by spreading corruption and strife among the clans to strike at the peace and security."

He noted, "The presence of weak personalities who create strife and chaos within the region to turn it into a disaster and reactivate ISIS within it."

The statement stressed: "We count on the awareness of our people and their components of their sheikhs and dignitaries to protect the security of the region."
