Ongoing demonstrations in As-Suwayda for 7th day in a row

SOHR said that hundreds of residents of the city of As-Suwayda and the surrounding villages and towns flocked to Al-Seer Square in the city center to participate in the ongoing demonstrations and protests for the seventh day in a row, calling for the "overthrow of the regime" and improving the living situation.

The Syrian Observatory reported that, in conjunction with the continuation of the general civil disobedience in the city, the picture of Bashar al-Assad on the outer building of the As-Suwayda City Council was painted red by the protesters.

The people also began organizing a protest in the Salkhad area in the countryside of As-Suwayda, calling for "the overthrow of the regime" and responding to the just demands of the citizens.

Yesterday, the Syrian Observatory indicated that more than 4,000 people from the city and the villages of Al-Qarya, Shahba, Atil, Salim, Arman, Badour, Al-Mazraa, Mardeg, Qanawat, Raha, Al-Muqrin and other villages in those areas participated in the largest demonstration in As-Suwayda.
