​​​​​​​HPG: 32 soldiers of Turkish occupation army killed

Yesterday, the Media Center of the People's Defense Forces (HPG) issued a statement, in which it reads:

"The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas, who started their march with the first bullet fired by our immortal commander Egîd (Mahsum Korkmaz) on August 15, have been waging a relentless struggle for 39 years. Following in the footsteps of martyrs in an Apoist spirit, our guerrillas are leading our freedom struggle with great self-sacrifice. Fighting with the same spirit, consciousness, commitment, determination and resolve today, our forces gave a historic lesson to the invading Turkish army on 9-10 August, on the eve of the Day of Resurrection.

The guerrillas carried out a revolutionary operation against the Turkish occupation forces that sought to advance in the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area. The guerrillas employed a wide range of tactics ranging from assassination, sabotage, strikes and heavy weaponry. Mobile and professional guerrilla teams acted in coordination during the course of the operation, which lasted 24 hours, and carried out 44 actions, in which 31 invaders were killed and 7 others were injured.

Our forces also carried out many operations from Judy Hill to Zap, Matina and Xakurk. As 32 occupiers were killed and 11 others were wounded in all of Guerrilla's operations.

In West Zap region, martyr Dalil

On August 9, at 08:40 - 10:00 - 13:40, 3 operations were carried out against the occupiers, who began moving with heavy weapons in the resistance area, Judy Hill. Where the operation was carried out by our forces, the Free Women Units - Star, and an element of the occupiers was killed.

On August 9, at 10:00, an offensive operation was carried out against the occupiers who were trying to advance in the resistance area, Judy Hill. Where our forces targeted the occupiers with grenades and individual weapons, 9 occupiers were killed and 7 others were wounded in this attack. Then they attacked the occupiers who were trying to withdraw and killed 2 occupiers.

On August 9, at 12:20, the occupiers were targeted by sniper fire in the resistance area, Judy Hill, and the occupiers who fled in fear became a target for sniping, 3 other invaders were killed, the operation was carried out by our forces from the Free Women Units - YJA Star.

At exactly 13:30 in the Judy resistance area, the invaders were the target of our forces, as a result, 2 invaders were killed, the operation was carried out by our forces, the Free Women Units - STAR.

At 14:00, a drone was shot down by sniper in the resistance area, Judy Hill.

At 14:00 - 15:00, the Free Women Units - Star carried out a sniper-style operation against the occupiers, who began moving in the resistance area, Judy Hill. 2 occupiers were killed.

At 15:20, an operation was carried out against the occupiers, who began moving with semi-automatic weapons in the resistance area, Judy Hill, and the occupiers' move were stopped.

At 18:30, an occupier who wanted to move by sniper was killed in the resistance area, Judy Hill.

At 20:00, our forces targeted helicopters that wanted to land the occupiers in the area, with heavy weapons, the helicopters were bombed 9 times with heavy weapons, and the helicopters were forced to leave the area without landing their forces in the area.

At 01:00 - 21:40, the occupiers were targeted 15 times with individual weapons, semi-automatic weapons, and heavy weapons in the resistance area, Judy Hill, as a result of this operation, 3 occupiers were killed.

On August 10 at 01:20, our forces targeted the occupiers when they started moving in the resistance area, Judy Hill, and an occupier was killed as a result of the operation.

At 02:20, an ambush operation was carried out against the occupiers in the resistance area, Judy Hill. The occupiers were targeted with grenades, and 2 occupiers were killed.

At 03:00, the occupiers were targeted by sniper tactics in the resistance area, Judy Hill, and 2 occupiers were killed.

At 3:30 - 4:00, the occupiers were targeted with heavy weapons in the resistance area, Judy Hill, and the occupiers' movement stopped.

Turkish occupation army carried out an intense bombardment with fighter jets and helicopters throughout the night of 9 August. The army retreated one step in an attempt to retrieve the casualties from the area.

Zap area:

On the 9th of August at 17:30, the bulldozers that tried to destroy our positions in the Resistance Sida area were targeted with heavy weapons.

Matina area:

On August 9, at 9:00, the occupiers were targeted with heavy weapons in the resistance area, Orty Hill.

Xakurk area:

And on August 8 at 13:30, when the occupiers began carrying out the operation in the area of Martyr Qahraman Hill, they were attacked with sniping tactics and 2 occupiers were injured as a result.

The occupiers, who wanted to build their positions in the area of Martyr Qahraman Hill, were attacked 3 times with destruction tactics on August 9, and 2 of the occupiers were injured as a result of the attack. At 16:00, the occupiers were again attacked with destruction tactics, and one of the occupiers was killed. The occupiers withdrew without achieving any result.

1 of the occupiers was killed, in addition to the injury of 4 others, in these operations, which were carried out by our forces, the Free Women Units - Star. Where this operation was carried out to remember our immortal commander Agid Garzan. Commander Agid Garzan was martyred on August 11, 2020 while he was the commander of the Xakurk area.

Turkish occupation army' attacks:

On August 4-7-9, warplanes bombed the Hakary hill resistance area of Matina 3 times.

On August 9, helicopters bombed the Hakary hill resistance area of Matina 4 times.

The Zap areas and the martyr Dalil area in western Zap and Xakurk were bombed with artillery.
