AANES calls on Global Coalition to take firm decision on Turkish attacks

Today, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria issued a written statement regarding the recent Turkish attack against Qamishlo canton, which resulted in the martyrdom of a commander and 3 fighters within the ranks of the Syrian Democratic Forces.

The attacks indicate clear efforts to divert attention from fighting ISIS cells in the first place and trying to achieve the Turkish desire to strike stability in our regions.

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria has previously announced the need for clear positions of the international coalition forces and parties that have guaranteed a cease-fire.

 We affirm that the security of our people and our regions is our top priority, and we will strive to ensure that with all our capabilities.

We extend our sincere condolences to the families of the martyrs, and we wish a speedy recovery for the wounded, stressing the continuation of the approach of our martyrs in protecting the gains of our people and securing their free aspirations in building their democratic future.

A leader in the Syrian Democratic Forces and 3 other fighters were martyred in an attack by a Turkish drone on the road to the village of Harmi Sheikho, which is affiliated with the city of Qamishlo.
