​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Çiya Kurd: statements of US State Department spokesperson are unfair

The co-chair of the Foreign Relations Department in the AANES considered that the information in the recent statement issued by the US State Department spokesperson, Matthew Miller, is incorrect, in which he claimed that Turkey's deportation of refugees to Afrin does not constitute a demographic change.

Çiya Kurd described the information in this statement as incorrect, which is a political position, unfair and contrary to reality, and contributes to creating more complexity of the situation, and a clear harmony with the Turkish demands.

Çiya Kurd considered what Turkey is practicing today against the Syrians by forcibly displacing them, as a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the rights of refugees.

Çiya Kurd also called for taking a deterrent stance towards these Turkish practices, stopping the processes of demographic change in Afrin, as well as putting an end to the continuous bombardment carried out by Turkish marches on safe areas, which causes instability and pushes civilians to leave their areas.
