Lawyers for leader Abdullah Ocalan submit new request to meet Imrali detainees

The lawyers for the leader Abdullah Ocalan submitted a new request to the Office of the Republican Public Prosecutor in Bursa and the Directorate of Imrali Prison to meet with their client Abdullah Ocalan and the other detainees

The lawyers of the Human Rights Office, Ibrahim Bilmes, Radia Ozturk, Omran Amekji, and Cengiz Yurkali, submitted a new request to the Office of the Republican Public Prosecutor in Bursa and the Imrali Prison Directorate, in order to meet with their client, the leader Abdullah Ocalan, who is under strict isolation in Imrali.

They also submitted a request for Ömer Khairi Konar, Hamili Yıldırım and Vesi Aktaş, who are also detained in Imrali.

The leader Abdullah Ocalan's last contact with the outside world was on the 25th of March 2021, during a 5-minute phone call with his brother Mohammad Ocalan, then he disconnected.

Leader Abdullah Ocalan was arrested as a result of an international conspiracy that began on the 9th of October 1998 when he left Syria heading to Moscow, to be arrested on the 15th of February 1999 in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, and handed over to the Turkish authorities.
