Autonomous Administration Council of Şengal holds meeting in Iraqi capital

Under the slogan “Autonomous Administration is a guarantee of the rights of the components in Iraq,” the work of the Democratic Autonomous Administration Council conference was launched today in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, in the “Al-Aqwas” Hall in Baghdad Hotel.

Along with representatives of the Autonomous Administration of Şengal, Iraqi political figures participated in the conference, in addition to guests from various Iraqi components and sects (Kurds - Arabs - Turkmen - Christians - Shiites - Sunnis), in addition to representatives of the Kurdish and Iraqi parties.

The co-chair of the Diplomatic Committee in the Autonomous Administration of Şengal, Ghazal Rasho welcomed the attendees and indicated the reasons for holding the conference.

The co-chair of the Autonomous Administration Council of Şengal, Nayef Shammo, spoke about the crimes committed by ISIS mercenaries against the Yazidis, stressing that the Yazidi community is still suffering from the effects of these crimes and today is witnessing solidarity and resistance against anyone who tries to harm the Yazidi community.

Shammo praised the stand of all (Islam, Christians, Shabak, Turkmen and others) on the side of the Yazidi community.

Meanwhile, the spokesman for the Martyrs' Families Foundation in Şengal, Hamad Bashar, said that some Western countries did not do justice to the Yazidi community, which was subjected to the most heinous crimes of the era, and stressed that this community suffers today from dangerous conspiracies represented by Turkey and other parties. He stressed that Islam is innocent of the crimes of ISIS.

The conference continues with speeches and a TV show about the genocide committed against the people of Şengal.

According to the Preparatory Committee, the conference will witness several lectures that recount the reality of the genocide, the post-genocide stages, as well as what needs to be done today, before the conference ends with a closing statement.
