​​​​​​​Turkey forcibly deports Syrians to complete the process of demographic change in Syria

After the victory of the Justice and Development Party AKP in the Turkish elections, and Erdogan's accession to power again, the Turkish authorities forcibly transferred Syrian refugees from their lands to the occupied Syrian lands, and these areas witness the settlement of refugees in areas other than their own, instead of their original inhabitants.

The co-chair of the Office of Displaced and Refugee Affairs in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Sheikhmous Ahmed, refuted the allegations of the Turkish authorities that talk about the voluntary return of Syrian refugees to their country, and Ahmed said about what Turkey is witnessing in accelerating the transfer of Syrians and their settlement in the occupied areas: "Turkey has worked on the displacement of the indigenous population when it occupied the region, and began forcibly deporting the Syrian refugees in Turkey to the occupied territories that were devoid of their original inhabitants.

He added in a statement to ANHA's agency on the subject: "After Erdogan's success in the elections, he accelerated the pace of forced deportation of Syrian refugees, claiming that it was a voluntary return, but they were forcibly deported and settled in the occupied territories in settlements that were built with the support of the State of Qatar."

In the latest process of transferring Syrian refugees and re-settling them in the occupied areas, the Turkish occupation state settled 50 new refugees in Girê Spî / Tel Abyad canton on July 25, forcibly transferring them from Turkish territory to the canton, bringing the number of those who transferred and settled them in the canton during the current month to more than out of 300 people.

Ahmed stressed that what Turkey is doing is exploiting refugees in the matter of changing the demographics of the region, and at the same time media propaganda for his party's election promises that were made prior to the elections, and flirting with the European Union as working to limit immigration to Europe.

Ahmed said, "The Turkish occupation state violates international laws and standards, through the processes of demographic change that it is carrying out in the occupied territories, and the settlement of Syrian refugees in areas that are not their own."

Those forcibly transferred prefer to go to the areas of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, despite the risks posed by their crossing.
