2 mass demonstrations to condemn Lausanne Treaty 

Today marks the 100th anniversary of the Treaty of Lausanne, which changed the fate of the region and divided the geography of Kurdistan into 4 parts in 1923, rejecting and denouncing that; Two mass demonstrations took place in Kobani in the Euphrates region, and the city of Dêrik in Qamishlo Canton.

KOBANI

Under the slogan "Implementing the Autonomous Administration's approach is a defeat for Lausanne", a mass demonstration took place in the city of Kobani, starting from the Free Women's Square in the city, with the participation of thousands of residents of the Euphrates region, members of the Autonomous Administration institutions, and political parties.

The demonstrators carried banners reading, "The implementation of the Autonomous Administration's approach is a defeat for Lausanne," "No to the Lausanne Agreement".

After their arrival at Martyr Agid Square, the demonstrators observed a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, followed by a speech of the co-chair of the Democratic Union Party in the Euphrates region, Ahmed Khoja, who denounced the Treaty of Lausanne, saying: "No to new Lausanne, no to an international conspiracy, no to tearing up the geography of Kurdistan again".

He pointed out that "today is a black day for us, the Kurds, a day when the international will gathered against the Kurds' desire for liberation, and unfortunately the traitors helped them in that".

At the end of his speech, Khoja pointed out that all components NE Syria live in peace under the Democratic Autonomous Administration thanks to the free thought of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and he said: "It is the duty of every individual to fight against those who drew artificial borders between the Kurds through the Treaty of Lausanne. It is time to write a new Lausanne, for the victory of the Kurds over the tyrants".

Dêrik

Hundreds of residents of the city of Dêrik and its affiliated villages, male and female members of institutions and councils, demonstrated to denounce the centenary of the Treaty of Lausanne.

The demonstration stopped in the middle of the central market, and after standing a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, the administrator of the Democratic Union Party in Dêrik, Muhammad Saeed, delivered a speech in which he said: "We will not acquiesce in the Treaty of Lausanne, which divided our people, but rather we will strengthen our will on the path of brotherhood of peoples and coexistence, as we, the components of the region, have established our democratic Autonomous Administration and everyone plays a role in it.

At the end of his speech, the administrator of the Democratic Union Party, Muhammad Saeed, denounced the centenary of the Treaty of Lausanne, and the demonstration ended with the slogan "Long live the struggle of our people".
