​​​​​​​Practical steps to implement AA project in As- Suwayda Governorate

The Syrian Brigade Party operating in the Syrian As-Suwayda announced the implementation of actual steps towards the implementation of the Autonomous Administration system in As-Suwayda and all of southern Syria.

The Syrian governorate of As-Suwayda is witnessing a political movement opposing the Damascus government, but the political forces in As-Suwayda did not support the movements of the so-called "Syrian opposition", which depended on the orders of regional powers, led by the Turkish occupation.

In parallel with the formation of political parties, forces, and civil society organizations, the people of As-Suwayda formed local military groups with the aim of protecting their areas, in the footsteps of the experience of the Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria.

Many circumstances contributed to the need to introduce the AANES concept

The head of the Syrian Brigade Party, Malik Abu al-Khair, spoke to ANHA's agency about the political circumstances that prompted them to implement the Autonomous Administration model, saying: "State institutions no longer have the ability to serve society in light of the great corruption spread within these institutions, as corruption has reached stages that have become difficult to reform or limit, as thefts are done openly, and the reality of services is at its lowest level in decades. For example, there are neighborhoods in southern Syria that have not received water for 3 months, and there are other neighborhoods that have reached 5 months without water, and in the field of electricity, the power cuts have reached 6 continuous hours, and sometimes more, in neighborhoods in southern Syria.

He added, "By going towards the security reality, each security branch in As-Suwayda and Daraa has its affiliated gangs practicing kidnapping, looting, and drug trafficking. These gangs have become the ones controlling the security scene in southern Syria, and the security chaos has reached great stages. With regard to the living reality, we can summarize the scene by saying that the Syrian south is without any economic sponsorship or economic projects that contribute to stopping the bleeding of migration as a result of the decline in the living and economic reality, while we find neglect is increasing in the reality of agriculture, which prompted farmers to sell their lands."

Consecutive stages and many offices

Malik Abu al-Khair elaborated on explaining the form of the Autonomous Administration project that they are working on implementing in As-Suwayda, and said: "We are working according to successive stages. The first stage is the services, and we have actually started by establishing the office of the Water Corporation affiliated with the party, which began its work by distributing water to more than 700 families this month, specifically those who suffer from an economic reality that does not allow them to purchase water. It also developed an action plan that will include the distribution of water to 4,000 families, within As-Suwayda during the subsequent period, which contributes to greatly reducing the burden on citizens."

Regarding the second phase of the work, Abu al-Khair indicated that it "aims to rebuild a political-social-civil body by calling for a general conference that includes all the political, social and religious components within the governorate with the aim of managing the As-Suwayda governorate during the next stage, and the first work agenda is to combat the drug phenomenon within society."

As for the third phase, he said: "We have established the Labor and Municipalities Office, which is an office based on serving the reality of municipalities within the governorate's neighborhoods."

In the fourth phase, "the Civil Defense Office launched and completed several service projects within the governorate, including sterilizing and sterilizing neighborhoods in which waste has accumulated for more than three months, sterilizing schools, and reforestation of large areas of forest lands that were looted," according to Abu al-Khair.

In the fifth phase, "the women's office was established, which was able to serve more than 2,000 women in As-Suwayda, and provide them with the necessary support. It also worked on setting up professional-political-economic empowerment courses - promoting the concept of self-management within society. Many of these women have become among the cadres of the Syrian Brigade Party."

As for the sixth stage, according to Malik Abu al-Khair, "a rapid medical intervention team was launched and two teams graduated, each team completed courses on first aid and medical treatment for all cases, in the event of any battles or clashes, and providing first and medical aid to the injured."

The experience of North and East Syria was inspiring to us

The head of the Syrian Brigade Party, Malik Abu al-Khair, indicated that "the experience of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria was an important and inspiring experience for us, and we have benefited a lot from the experiences it went through. For us, we consider it a bold and encouraging step and it was able to establish its position within the Syrian arena and even internationally. We are honored to cooperate with the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, coordinate efforts in a broader and more comprehensive range politically, economically and socially, and exchange experiences and benefit from their great expertise."

Regarding the need to implement the Autonomous Administration model as a solution to the Syrian crisis, Malik Abu al-Khair said: "It has become extremely necessary, especially with the reality of theft and looting that is practiced without mercy or pity against citizens and the country's transformation into a hotbed of corruption in the security, economic and military fields and the disintegration of state institutions. It has become necessary to put forward the concept of Autonomous Administration to rebuild society first and this is important, and to save what can be saved from the country and unify efforts with all Syrian political and social components to confirm the unity of the Syrian lands and rebuild the coming Syria again with a new concept."
