Sit in tent to condemn threats that affected leader Ocalan

In the context of the general mobilization campaign announced by the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement and the Young Women's Union in NE Syria, on July 10, to condemn the Turkish occupation state's sending threatening messages to leader Abdullah Ocalan, a sit-in tent was erected in the Girkê Legê district of Qamishlo Canton.

The people of Girkê Legê district, members of the Council of Martyrs' Families, and representatives of political parties, councils, and civil institutions in the district participated in the tent, which will last for a day.

The event began with standing a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, after which a member of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement in Girkê Legê Çiya Kurd Muhammad denounced the threats against the leader Abdullah Ocalan. He described it as: "immoral practices targeting the will of the resistance peoples and the youth in the person of leader Ocalan".

Çiya Kurd Muhammad affirmed: "we will escalate the struggle until the leader's physical freedom is achieved".

In turn, a member of the Girkê Legê district council, Nisreen Muhammad, called on all peoples to follow the philosophy of the leader Abdullah Ocalan and to struggle at all levels so that leader's physical freedom is achieved and eliminating authoritarian regimes.
