The Turkish occupation, with the support of Muslim Brotherhood associations, is setting up a new settlement in occupied Afrin, after uprooting hundreds of olive trees.

Sources from the occupied Afrin canton told ANHA agency that the Turkish occupation, with the support of the Muslim Brotherhood associations is setting up a new settlement in the village of Matina in the Shera district of the canton, after the occupation and its mercenaries uprooted hundreds of olive trees.

According to the sources, the land on which the settlement is built belongs to the citizen Khalil Abdullah, who was forcibly displaced to al-Shahba canton, and 150 houses are to be built on it.

While settlers are working to cut down more trees around it in order to expand the area of the settlement and sell firewood, according to the same sources.
