Kongra Star in Damascus condemns Turkish occupation attacks on the region

Yesterday, Kongra Star in Damascus issued a written statement denouncing the Turkish occupation attacks on Şengal and the mountains of Kurdistan and NE Syria.

At the beginning of the statement, it reads, "On behalf of the Kongra Star in Damascus, we condemn and denounce the Turkish occupation's attacks on the people in Şengal and the mountains of Kurdistan and NE Syria, especially its recent bombing and targeting of comrades Yusra Darwish and Lyman Shawish".

The statement stressed, "We will defend our rights, our land, our leader, and our identity, and we will stand up to all institutions and organizations that are silent about the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its targeting of civilians, the elderly and children. Therefore, we call on human rights organizations and international powers to put an end to the Turkish occupation state and its drones".

On June 20, a drone belonging to the Turkish occupation bombed a car carrying the co-chair of the Qamishlo Canton Council while it was performing its administrative and civil work. As a result, the co-chair of the Qamishlo Canton Council, Yusra Darwish, the deputy co-chair Lyman Shweish, and the council member Furat Toma, were martyred, and the co-chair of the Canton Council, Gabi Shamon, was wounded.
