​​​​​​Thousands of people in Qamishli demonstrate for leader's physical freedom

Thousands of Qamishlo's components participated in the demonstration, which was organized by the Young Women's Union, in addition to representatives of the Democratic Society Movement, political parties and Kongra Star, as well as civil, religious and women's institutions and councils.

The demonstration went through the main street of the city, amid chants of "Long live the resistance of leader Ocalan", "Long live Imrali's resistance", "No to the attacks of the Turkish occupation", "Women, life, freedom, towards freedom", "There is no life without the leader".

After the demonstrators arrived to the Soni roundabout in the city center, they stood for a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, after which the member of the Young Women's Union for NE Syria, Reem Dada, gave a speech in which she denounced the isolation imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan and the Turkish attacks on the regions of NE Syria.

Reem Dada pledged to continue the struggle until the victory and physical freedom of the leader Ocalan is achieved, and she called for clinging to the project of the democratic nation and standing by the military forces and the AANES to protect the gains of the revolution.

For his part, Maasoum Hassan, on behalf of the People Initiative for North and East Syria, the co-chair of the Council of Martyrs' Families in the city of Qamishlo, spoke about the conspiracy against the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and indicated that it aims to "obliterate the will of the people who adhere to the thought and philosophy of the leader Abdullah Ocalan".

Regarding the ongoing Turkish attacks on the regions of NE Syria, Maaosum explained that they "come within the framework of the genocide war, and the elimination of the AANES project and the democratic experiment".

At the end of his speech, Hassan called for escalating the struggle, stressing, "The leader's physical freedom must be achieved so that we can live in dignity".
