The General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces issued a statement to the media and public opinion, about the continuous occupation attacks on North and East Syria.

The General Command indicated in its statement, "The aggression cannot be separated from the occupation's efforts to divert attention from its colonial projects on the Syrian lands and its repercussions on the future and unity of Syria, and to resolve all current and future agreements with international parties in favor of the survival of its soldiers and mercenaries inside Syria, as these malicious goals remain the real engine of all attacks on our regions.

The statement stated:

"During the current week, the Turkish occupation escalated its barbaric aggression against the populated areas in North and East Syria, especially the areas of al-Shahba that embrace the displaced people of Afrin, as well as Manbij, Ain Issa, and the areas of Jazira, where it did not spare the people, including children and women, who were subjected to direct attack and claimed the lives of three and wounding four others, including two children, were injured.

This aggression was planned for a long time, waiting for the appropriate conditions, especially those related to the disregard of the parties and international associations concerned with the proven and accumulated crimes committed by the occupation and its mercenaries on Syrian lands, especially against our people in North and East Syria, as well as the public support and sponsorship of unruly terrorist organizations, including cells the terrorist organization ISIS and other criminal organizations in the occupied territories.

This aggression cannot be separated from the occupation's efforts to divert attention from its colonial projects on Syrian lands and its repercussions on the future and unity of Syria, and to resolve all current and future agreements with international parties in favor of the survival of its soldiers and mercenaries inside Syria, as those malicious goals remain the real engine of all attacks on our regions.

What the occupation is promoting about the attack on our forces is nothing but an attempt to weaken all national forces opposing the colonial plans and deter them from non-confrontation, as it has become imperative for all Syrian parties to realize that the attempt to weaken our forces aims only at the Turkish incursion deeper into Syria and influencing the sovereign decision now and in the future.

The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries are aware that they are not only confronting our forces, but rather the will and steadfastness of our people, as our forces praise the national awareness of our people in North and East Syria and their realization of the importance of resistance in confronting the occupation's attacks.

The continuation of the occupation in its aggression and crimes will be responded, and our forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces, will remain more committed than ever to protecting the region and all its components, and securing a safe and stable future.
