A local source from the occupied Girê Spî canton reported that the people of the occupied Girê Spî canton went out in demonstrations to lift the injustice and thefts they suffer from under the yoke of the Turkish occupier and its mercenaries who wreak havoc in their areas since the occupation of the canton and large parts of its countryside on the 9th of October 2019.

According to the source, the demonstrators demanded the dissolution of the so-called "economic offices" that supervise the looting operations in the center of the occupied Girê Spî canton and the town of Suluk, and to remove the hand of the mercenary factions from the civil life of the people and their ways of living in terms of "agricultural seasons, diesel fuel, silos, bakeries, and others."

The source pointed out that the demonstrators also demanded the dissolution of the so-called "Tal Abyad Local Council" affiliated with the Turkish occupation, which they describe as the most corrupt, after it controls the capabilities of the people and the corruption deals that take place through the influential personalities in it.

The economic offices are concerned with the operations of seizing the land and property of the displaced and public property in the occupied Girê Spî canton, in addition to appointing people in the recent period by these offices to buy the people's crops of wheat at low prices in preparation for their transfer to the Turkish interior.
