Zaidan Al-Assi: Damascus, Russia cahoot with Turkish attacks

The co-chair of the Defense Office in the Autonomous Administration, Zaidan Al-Assi, explained to ANHA agency in this regard: "Turkey has been trying, since the beginning of the establishment of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria to thwart this administration as it is the cornerstone of the future Syria, and this certainly disturbs Turkey and the countries hostile to the Syrian people."

Al-Assi confirmed that the Turkish occupation state escalated its attacks against al-Shahba, Manbij and Kobani, and used most types of weapons, such as artillery and drones.

He noted that: "Turkey is carrying out continuous military attacks, the aim of which is to destabilize the security and stability of the regions of NE Syria, and yesterday's attack came after the Autonomous Administration announced the decision to prosecute ISIS members."

Al-Assi touched on the inaction of the government of Damascus and Russia regarding the recent Turkish attacks, which tageted their positions is evidence of the satisfaction of the two parties with these attacks; the unannounced agreements that exist between Turkey, Russia and the Damascus government confirm the targeting of the administration and the transfer of something from the Russian-Ukrainian battle to the region.

He added, "If the stance of the international coalition in NE Syria had been firm, the Turkish occupation state would not have been able to reach its goal in attacking  regions of NE Syria.
