The Turkish occupation state has escalated its attacks against the People’s Defense Forces HPG in Southern Kurdistan, since April 23, 2021, using chemical weapons and asphyxiating and poisonous gases, in an effort to expand its occupation and complete its policy of extermination against the peoples of Kurdistan.

The co-chairmanship of the Executive Body of the Kurdistan Communities Union of KCK announced, through a statement on June 13, the termination of the decision to stop military operations, which was announced after the February 6 earthquake, and which was extended during the election period, due to the continued attacks of the occupying Turkish state.

In this context, the national figure in al-Hasakah, Abd al-Ghani Oso, indicated that the Turkish occupation state continues its attacks throughout history and to the present day against the Kurdish people, to undermine the gains achieved by the sons and daughters of the peoples of Kurdistan and to eliminate the Kurdish society and the Kurdish movement.

And Abd al-Ghani Oso stated: "The Turkish occupation state has recently escalated its attacks against the People's Defense Forces in the legitimate defense areas in Başûr Kurdistan, with all internationally prohibited and chemical weapons, in conjunction with the establishment of dozens of military bases and barracks, to openly occupy the region."

Oso explained that the goal of the Turkish occupation state in its attacks is not the presence of the PKK in Southern Kurdistan, but rather the occupation of the region, and noted: "The Kurdistan Regional Government must not allow the Turkish occupation state to intervene in the region and launch its attacks on the guarantors of peace."

Oso stressed: "All Kurdish political forces and parties must unify their ranks at all levels, stand by each other in the face of the attacks that Kurdistan is exposed to, and set aside their personal and political interests, in order to achieve legitimate defense against the attacks that affect the region."

Oso pointed out that: "The Turkish occupation aims to target all peoples, not a single society or people, and to restore the old Ottoman Empire."

Abd al-Ghani Oso called on all societal segments in North and East Syria to support the Guerrilla resistance, to preserve the free democratic project that serves all components and peoples of Kurdistan, and stressed: "The political forces and parties in Başûr Kurdistan must expand their framework of thought to protect the lands of Kurdistan against the occupation attacks and implement a project democracy in the entire Middle East.
