Notables of Tabqa are calling for support of Makhmour's resistance in the face of siege attempts

Today, the sheikhs and notables of the clans of Tabqa city made a statement to the public opinion, in front of the Senate building, against the attempts to besiege Makhmour camp by the Iraqi army and surround it with barbed wire and watchtowers.

The statement, which was read by the notable of the al-Hwaiwat clan in Tabqa, Yahya al-Masloub, in the presence of a number of clan' sheikhs and notables, explained, "Today we are witnessing communication and continuous coordination between the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Regional Government with the Turkish state to clamp down on the residents of Makhmour camp.

The statement called on all the Iraq people, to support the people of Makhmour camp.

The statement called on the United Nations and civil society organizations to play their moral and humanitarian role, and not to submit to the brutal Turkish state's policies.
