Demonstration condemning Iraqi army's siege of Makhmour camp

The people of the Canton, personalities from the political parties in the Euphrates region, and members of civil institutions participated in the demonstration, which started from Freedom Square in the city of Kobani.

The demonstrators raised pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and the flags of the Martyrs' Families Council, amid chanting slogans denouncing the war of extermination declared against the people of the region, specifically against the Kurdish people, "Death to the fascists", "Resistance is life".

Upon the demonstrators' arrival at the Clock Square in the city of Kobani, they observed a minute of silence in remembrance of the souls of the martyrs. Then, Amina Bakr, a member of the Kongra Star Coordination in the Euphrates region, delivered a speech in which she touched on the plans hatched against the region by the fascist regimes.

Amina Bakr added: "What is happening today, in Makhmour, is a struggle between good and evil, and in the end, good will prevail and the people of Makhmour will declare themselves victorious."

The demonstration ended with chants of "Resistance is life".
