TEV-DEM calls on all peoples to support resistance of Makhmour camp

TEV-DEM, issued public statement in which denounced the attempt of Iraqi army of imposing siege on Rustum Judy martyr in Makhmur camp in Southern Kurdistan, it states:

It is obvious that Iraqi Government and KDP are collaborating together through organized and systematic agreements with the fascist Turkish occupation to pass its malicious policy against the will of Makhmur camp those who have lived there for decades, who fought viciously against ISIS, sacrificed themselves to liberate the camp from ISIS clutches to live in peace and joy, without providing any kind of assistance or support from any side, while KDP and Iraqi Government are imposing extra taxes on Makhmur camp residents seeking to impose choking off on the residents.

Our Kurdish people in Shengal and Makhmur are exposed to a very large plot by the Iraqi army, and we consider it a military attack to strike at the will of our people’s resistance through military mobilizations supported by heavy machinery and supported by air movements of Turkish drones to empty this camp and disperse their will or impose a policy of extermination by building a fence. cement and put barbed wire as they did in Shengal, to cut off their breath, seize their will and prevent communication with the rest of the surrounding areas, but the borders of this plot did not stop at Makhmour and Shengal camps only, but also the complete control of the entire Kurdistan Başûr.

Therefore, the treacherous attack carried out by the Iraqi army does not serve the Iraqis or the Kurds, but serves the Turks and their occupation plans; The fact that the attack came after the statement of the Turkish fascist interior minister that they would seize all of Aleppo, Mosul and Kirkuk, indicates the start of a new campaign of extermination against our Kurdish people.

We appeal to all political and national forces, civil society institutions, the educated segment, media professionals, artists, free patriots, women's and youth organizations to protect the will and resistance of the people of Makhmur camp and work to thwart these schemes and conspiracies that are hatched against the will of our people and beware of the treasonous policies and schemes of the Kurdistan Democratic Party that commits crimes and historical sins with its support and support for the state The Turkish occupation par excellence, without looking at the calls or appeals to move away and abandon the Turkish occupier, and this is what constitutes a threat to all political and national forces in all of Kurdistan, and what facilitates the practice of the policy of striking iron with iron.

We also call on the people of the region to oppose the tricks and the fascist policy of AKP and the actions of the Iraqi Government towards the will of our people, and we call to join with all our capabilities to support the resistance of our people in Makhmur camp.

We also condemn the silence of the United Nations organizations concerned with refugee affairs in Makhmur camp, which is registered with their organizations as one of the refugee camps, and to work for immediate intervention in this very dangerous situation.
