Turkish court sentences 2 journalists, Dijla Muftoglu and Sedat Yilmaz, to prison

In the connection with the investigation which  launched  by the Public Prosecution Office in Ankara, the Turkish authorities began a campaign of arrests that included 15 different cities in northern Kurdistan (Bakur Kurdistan) and Turkey, during the raids, 19 people were arrested, including the co-chair of the Dijla and Euphrates Journalists Association, the editor at Mesopotamia Agency , Dijla Muftoglu, and the editor at the same agency, Sedat Yilmaz. Filiz Yilmaz was released after giving her testimony to the prosecution.

The court sentenced the journalists to prison;  Dijla Muftoglu and Sedat Yilmaz, Arol Balci Abd al-Rahim Taniri and Ramadan Dabeh, while the wife of Sedat Yilmaz was released;  Selma Yilmaz, Cihat Kanbay, Cihan Konish, Ismail Adanmash, Cihat Ablay, Mahmud Doğu, Difran Ak, Shamsattin Toprak, Mehmet Emin Yıldırım, Cevdet Ismail Kolari, Hasan Ozhan, Avin Ozbek and Suad Karaköz, on the condition that they remain under judicial oversight and Prohibiting them from leaving the country.

 Journalist Sedat Yilmaz responded to the decision to imprison him in the courtroom, saying: "The bandit regime will end within 10 days, as it will collapse."
