SOHR: 112 people killed, wounded during month of April

112 people were killed and wounded last April, within the so-called "De-Escalation" Zone, as part of the ongoing military escalation in the region.

The so-called "De-Escalation Zone" extending from the northeastern mountains of Latakia, to the northwestern outskirts of the city of Aleppo, passing through the countryside of Hama and Idlib, is witnessing a major escalation between the forces of the Damascus government and its loyal and affiliated groups, and the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation through daily shelling with dozens of rocket and artillery shells.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented, during the month of April 2023, the killing of 59 people and the wounding of 53 others, including citizens and members of the Damascus government forces and the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation.

The Russian warplanes were absent during the month of April, while the ground bombardment of the area did not stop, as 1,300 shells and missiles fell in more than 40 locations within residential and military areas in the countryside of Aleppo, Idlib, Hama and Latakia.
