Arrest of ISIS's mercenary recruited to collect coordinates of SDF sites in Raqqa

The Syrian Democratic Forces arrested an ISIS mercenary, who was recruited to collect the coordinates of the Syrian Democratic Forces' locations in the city of Raqqa and its countryside.

ANHA agency was able to interview the mercenary, who is of Palestinian nationality, born in 1984, and called Ali Muhammad. He joined the ranks of ISIS mercenaries in the Syrian capital, Damascus, in 2015, and worked for ISIS in a Palestinian camp there.

During the interview, the mercenary said that after being recruited for ISIS, he moved from Damascus to the As-Suwayda desert following an agreement concluded between the Damascus government forces and ISIS mercenaries in 2017, which stipulated the withdrawal of mercenary cells from the outskirts of Damascus to the As-Suwayda desert.

In the context of his work as a mercenary within ISIS cells, he moved to the countryside of Aleppo in 2018, and then to the city of Raqqa, where he was entrusted with the task of collecting information and the coordinates of the locations of the Syrian Democratic Forces in Raqqa and its countryside in NE Syria.

According to his confessions in the interview, he was able to locate the coordinates of two locations of the Syrian Democratic Forces out of the 5 locations he was asked to locate before he was arrested.

A military leader in the city of Raqqa said that the mercenary was arrested earlier this month.
