Syrian writer: AANES's initiative has positive, essential points

Younis sees great importance in the details of the initiative and its timing, as it included a set of positive and essential points, the most important of which is the emphasis on the unity of the Syrian territories, and the Autonomous Administration’s explicit assertion that the wealth in its areas belongs to all Syrians, in addition to its willingness to receive the displaced people.

On Tuesday April 18, AANES launched an initiative to solve the Syrian crisis, and end the suffering of millions of the Syrian people.

"At a time when Syria is witnessing the 77th anniversary of the expelling the French occupation, whereas there are about 6 occupying armies, the emphasis on the country's unity is very essential," Hassan Younis told ANHA agency.

He described the Autonomous Administration's explicit assertion on distribution of resources and wealth among all Syrians, as the other important point.

He said: "The resources throughout the Syrian geography must belong to all Syrians, which is a sensitive point and has sparked a lot of controversy, but the Autonomous Administration's explicit assertion that it belongs to all Syrians is another important point."

Younis believed that the point related to receiving refugees who were forced to migrate outside the Syrian territories due to the war, the earthquake, and the processes of demographic change is the third most important point in the initiative, as the Syrians suffer from discrimination in some countries that are trying to get rid of the Syrians in a coercive and inhuman way, he said, "I think it is an advanced point that was not raised earlier, as it is one of the new points in this period in particular, and it helps the displaced Syrians."

"There is a continuous dialogue between the Autonomous Administration and the Damascus government, and this dialogue has become somewhat routine, as each part has constants that it adheres to," noting that the need for a different language and a different vision, and introducing another method for dialogue so that it becomes a meaningful and productive dialogue," Hassan Younis explained.
