PYD: Ocalan's birthday is epic of rebirth for all people, humanity

The 4th of April marks the birth of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and on this occasion the General Council of PYD issued a statement to the public opinion, in which it renewed the pledge to struggle in all fields and levels in order to achieve the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, which is considered one of their goals and strategic principles. .

The text of the statement read:

First of all, we congratulate the birth of leader Ocalan to all peoples yearning for freedom and peace, especially the Kurdish people, who were subjected to various forms of genocide.

We receive the Fourth of April this year with historic struggle of peoples for freedom that has reached its peak, along with the legendary guerrilla resistance that pushed Turkish fascism to the brink of the abyss. Ocalan's thought and philosophy that they wanted to obscure with an international conspiracy is now spreading around the world to quench the thirst of all who thirst for freedom, and in the forefront is women as the oldest colony in human history.

History reminds that a person appears every once in a while and is considered a savior of humanity from injustice and suffering, and corrects the understanding of history, and directs the path of peoples again to the path of righteousness. These people embody history in themselves and do not express their personality but they represent the aspirations of entire peoples, and thus they change the course of history and illuminate the path of peoples towards salvation, this is the role of messengers, prophets and reformers during the performance of their message throughout the ages. The role led by the leader Ocalan in this century was no different from those roles, as he was able with his thought, philosophy and struggle to protect human, intellectual, cultural and social values and put society on the path of justice, equality, freedom and democracy." The birth of leader Ocalan is not only the birth of the freedom of the Kurdish people and the liberation of women, but it is a new rebirth for all peoples and humanity as a whole. Especially the issue of women, which he considered as an entire people and put her at the forefront of his struggle, and considering the freedom of women as the freedom of society.

The leader is the owner of the philosophy “Jin jiyan azadî / women, life, freedom” that  reaffirms that this thought serves the whole world, This is what constitutes serious concerns for the forces of hegemony and capitalist modernity that inspire their agents to tighten the isolation of the leader in his prison, because they are well aware that the key to the solution to the problems of the Middle East is in the project of a democratic confederation as a model for ending the crisis and chaos ravaging the region.

We in PYD renew our pledge to struggle in order to achieve the physical freedom of the leader Ocalan, and spread leader's ideas everywhere in the world which is one of our strategic goals. We all hope that the historical resistance waged by the leader Ocalan in Amrali prison 25 years ago, as well as the struggle of the Kurdish people and all peoples in the world  has reached a peak stage, and this is a guarantee that this year will become the year of the leader's freedom which will bring peace, security and stability in the whole world.
