AA of Şengal rejects forcing 2 Yazidis in Afrin to embrace Islam

After a video tape was leaked of two citizens of the Yazidi religion converting to Islam, forced and coerced by some sheikhs of the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation state in occupied Afrin, the Democratic Autonomous Administration Council of Şengal issued today a statement to the public opinion.

The statement cleared that the Democratic Autonomous Administration Council of Şengal called on human rights and humanitarian institutions and countries that recognized the genocide of Şengal not to remain inaction about Turkish occupation actions towards Yazidi people in occupied Afrin."

The council added: "The genocide took place in Şengal after the Peshmerga of the Democratic Party fled Şengal, and today the Yazidis in occupied Afrin are being subjected to another genocide at the hands of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries."

It continued, "What they call themselves the 'Kurdish National Council' in Afrin pretend to be patriots, but the Yazidis are being forced to convert to Islam, and we reject this policy and consider it despicable to the Yazidi religion."

The Council made the point clear "All parties that remain inaction in the face of this genocide are partners in it, but all Yazidis and their friends in the world must not remain inaction about what our children are exposed to in Afrin."

It added, " What the occupation and mercenaries are doing in Afrin is genocide against the Yazidi community."

The Council called on "the international coalition to fight ISIS to support the Syrian Democratic Forces to expel the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries from occupied Afrin and to return the indigenous people to their homes."

The citizens, who were forced to convert to Islam, are from the Yazidi village of Qibar in the Shra district of occupied Afrin.
