​​​​​​​​Amnesty International: Women are the main victims of Iranian state policy

In a section of its report on the situation in Iran and Eastern Kurdistan (Rojhilat), the organization noted the level of violence practiced by the ruling powers against the demonstrators.

The organization highlighted the Iranian state's efforts to silence the "Jin, Jiyan, Azadî" uprising, as well as the implementation of unfair sentences and torture against demonstrators.

It noted the increase in human rights violations against demonstrators in Iran, noting that the Iranian security services resorted to "torture and sexual abuse against demonstrators, to silence the protest and suppress the revolutionary spirit of the youth."

In another part of the report, it stated that "Iranian forces are illegally taking advantage of the war to silence the protesters, causing the death of hundreds of people and the injury of thousands of people. The Iranian authorities also arrest people who claim their rights through peaceful means, and thousands of people have been tried unfairly. In addition, the death penalty rate has extremely increased and executions are being carried out in public."

The organization also emphasized in its report that women, religious people and ethnic groups are the main victims of the Iranian government's policy, drawing attention to the Iranian authorities' imposition of restrictions on social networks and the monitoring of television channels.
