​​​​​​​During Ramadan suffering of Afrin, Shahba IDPs exacerbated

The residents of Afrin and Shahba spend the month of Ramadan this year under the siege of the Damascus government and the attacks of the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries.

The displaced people of Afrin, who live in the camps in Shahba, revealed that the siege does not allow the necessary needs to enter the region in an adequate manner, which has led to a shortage of materials and high prices.

The citizen, Amina Abd al-Yassin, from the Rajo district and resident of the Berkhdan camp, said: "This is our sixth Ramadan, and we are still outside our homes and far from our land. We hope that Allah will grant us mercy so that we can return to our homes as soon as possible."

Amina indicated that the policies of the Damascus government towards the people of Afrin have caused the prices of food and vegetables to rise, so they cannot secure all their needs during the month of Ramadan.

The citizen, Fatima Muhammad, who is also resident of the Berkhdan camp, confirmed that they cannot buy all their food needs because of the high prices.

While the displaced, Omar Hamki, explained that the blockade imposed on the region exacerbated the suffering of the people more than any time.
