​​​​​​​During farewell ceremony, SDF: We not to give up gains of martyrs

 The co-chair of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Abd Hamid al-Mehbash, delivered a speech during the farewell ceremony for 9 martyrs of the Syrian Democratic Forces, men and women, at Sardam Stadium in the city of Hasakah.

 Al-Mehbash began his speech by saying: "We lost nine noblemen of our best young men and women in the Syrian Democratic Forces, in an accident where their helicopter crashed while they were on their way to Sulaymaniyah to exchange knowledge and experiences in the field of combating terrorism. This terrorism has exhausted the whole world. We were pained by their departure."

 He added, "O pure martyrs, you will remain immortal in our minds and your comrades. You have concluded your path in the fight against terrorism with martyrdom, and the war that you started against terrorism has not ended yet, and it is a crucial war to defend Syria and its people."

Al-Mehbash went on to address the martyrs, saying: "All that has been achieved is thanks to your sacrifices and those who preceded you. In the battles of liberation and the fight against terrorism, the Syrian Democratic Forces provided more than 14,000 martyrs, and 20,000 wounded and injured, and they are still presenting every day and moment."

 Stressing that northern and eastern Syria is engaged in a fateful battle after a revolution that produced a project and a future worthy of Syria, "and this requires struggle. We promise you that we will preserve your gains."

 He added, "Arab blood has mixed with Kurdish and Syriac blood in northern and eastern Syria to defend our regions against terrorism and the Turkish occupation that wants to humiliate, displace and bring us to our knees. We assure them all that we will restore our occupied regions and expel the Turks from them. Our people will return to their homes, with the strength of our heroes and our forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces."

 Al-Mehbash concluded by saying: "In the name of the AANES, we offer condolences to the families of the martyrs, as we offer condolences to the General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces, and our people in northern and eastern Syria. We say that whoever lives for himself will live small, and whoever lives for the sake of his country will get tired, but he will live great."

We are going on your way and keeping your gains

 After that, the co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, Amina Omar, delivered a speech in which she said, "On this day, we bid farewell to a group of our martyrs, who gave their lives for what they believed in and defended. We tell them that we will preserve your gains."

 Omar drew attention to the massacre that was committed against 4 citizens of one family in Jandris in the occupied Afrin canton on the eve of the Newroz holiday (20 March), by saying: "Our great people, occupied Afrin had its share of martyrs, despite 5 years on the occupation, the continuous violations against the people there, and the repercussions of the earthquake, the people of Afrin had a glimmer of hope. So they lit the flame of freedom, which symbolizes salvation from oppression and injustice, but they did not realize that they would pay a price with their lives.

"A group of mercenaries aimed their guns at the chests of those who lit the flame and fired at them, killing four people," she added.

 The co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, Amina Omar, condemned "this crime" and offered condolences to the families of the martyrs of Newroz.

 She called on "the international community to end the occupation," saying: "The Turkish occupier turned the occupied lands into arenas for mercenaries."  It also called on "terrorist factions to hand over these areas to our people and for the safe return of their lands."

 Amina Omar also called on "all Syrian factions to unite their position in order to rid Syria of the bloodmongers."

 Our march will continue with the spirit of resistance and struggle.

In her turn, the co-chair of the Martyrs' Families Council in Jazira region, Salma Khalil, saluted during a speech she delivered at the ceremony, the greatness of the martyrs, and confirmed that their march will continue with the spirit of resistance and struggle until achieving the goals of the July 19 revolution.

 For his part, a member of the Democratic Islam Conference, Mullah Abd al-Rahman Badrakhan, stressed in a speech delivered on behalf of the conference that "the people of the region are striving for freedom, justice and freedom, and for all beliefs to live in peace."

 Referring to the Janders massacre, he said: "Whoever tries to put out the fire of Kawa mourning, and to put out the Kurdish Newroz, will not be able to put out the fire of our revolution, and the fire of our freedom."
