Newroz fire lit in 9 cities of Bakur Kurdistan

The closing Newroz celebrations, which were dedicated this year to the earthquake victims, are being held in 9 centers and districts in Bakur Kurdistan (Northern Kurdistan).

Today, the torches of Newroz are lit in Amed, Jazir, Nusaybin, Banus, Bazid, Cihanbeyli, Canakli, Bandirma and Gulan, under the slogans "Newroz everywhere, freedom at all times" and "Towards freedom with the flame of Newroz".

Amed

The people of Amed flocked to Newroz Square, where the celebration began after standing for a minute of silence.

Nusaybin

The people of Nusaybin flocked to the festive square in their national costumes, where they greeted Newroz by chanting the slogans "Long live Leader Apo" and "Long live the resistance of Newroz".

Jazir

One of the areas where the closing ceremonies are held is the island of Bhutan, where the celebration is held in Nowroz Square located in the Banh Khani district. People flocked to the ceremonial square from the center of Sharnakh and the districts of Sloopy, Hazakh, Qalban, Elkeh and Bassa since the early morning squares.

Bazid

Since the morning hours, many citizens gathered in front of the Peoples' Democratic Party building in Bazid, and marched with torches towards Newroz Square.
