​​​​​​​Organizing committee of Newroz celebration congratulates Kobani people

The organizing committee in the Euphrates region made a statement in the yard of the Baqi Khadou Center for Culture and Art in Kobani, it was read by the administrator of the Martyr Vian Amara Academy in the Euphrates region, Suad Khalil, in the presence of representatives of the Autonomous Administration institutions of Kobani Canton.

It reads: "With the advent of spring, Newroz comes every year, which means resistance against the oppressors, it is a new day for the people of the region, specifically the Kurdish people."

It added, "In all the massacres; the Kurdish people were massacred and exterminated, especially in the past two centuries, but with the advent of the freedom movement and the thought and philosophy of leader Apo, the people stood up again and rose up and showed a unique resistance nearly 50 years ago, to announce a new birth thanks to the freedom movement the Kurdish people found the way to his truth and his life, and with the spirit of the resistance of Newroz and the ideas and philosophy of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, defeated fascism that turned itself into a hungry wolf against our people."

The statement concluded, "We, as the organizing committee of the Newroz celebration, we will celebrate this day in front of the peace loving people in NE Syria and the whole world, especially the families of the martyrs, the fighters for freedom, the resistance fighters on top of the mountains, and the leader of the Kurdish people, Abdullah Ocalan".

Then the Newroz flame was lit at the Baqi Khadou Center for Culture and Art, after which the members of the Committee in the Euphrates region went out to the streets of Kobani, dressed in Kurdish folkloric costume, calling on the people to celebrate Newroz in the Miştenûr hill in Kobani, while chanting the slogan "Resistance is life".
