A delegation from the representatives of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and the Democratic Union Party (PYD) participated in Başûr, in the 35th anniversary ceremony of the bombing of Halabça with chemical weapons.

According to what was published by the representative of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria in Başûr, on its page on the virtual communication site "Facebook", a delegation from the representative of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, represented by the representative of the Autonomous Administration, Avin Sweid, and a member of the representative body, Fathallah Hosseini, participated in the name of Rojava, in coordination with the representative of the Democratic Union Party, represented by the representative of the party, Jawidan Hassan, and the member of relations, Berivan Muhammad, today, in the ceremony of the 35th anniversary of the bombing of the city of Halabça with chemical weapons by the defunct Iraqi Baathist regime, which was organized in the city of Halabça.

The Rojava delegation placed a wreath on the tombs of the martyrs who were victims of the chemical bombing, in the great cemetery in the city of Halabça, then the delegation visited the memorial in the city, and inspected the sections in it.

They also delivered a telegram of the occasion to those in charge of the ceremonies.

And it stated at its beginning, "On the anniversary of the commemoration of the martyr Halabça, we present the wreaths of roses in honor of the souls of the martyrs of the city of Halabça, this city that sacrificed more than five thousand martyrs for the sake of the freedom of our Kurdish people, and to highlight the ugly, dictatorial face of the defunct Ba'athist regime."

And added: "On this sad occasion for the hearts of our people in all parts of Kurdistan, we assure you that the issues of the Kurdish people will not end with blood and internationally prohibited weapons, but rather that access to freedom and democracy, although some of it passes through blood, but making sacrifices will certainly be a path." To reach the national rights of our Kurdish people, and the martyred Halabça was one of the great tragedies that befell our people in Southern Kurdistan.

And concluded, "We seize this occasion, to extend our congratulations on behalf of Rojava also to all the people of the martyred city and all of our Kurdish people, by declaring " Halabça" the nineteenth governorate in the Republic of Iraq, and perhaps this is a small part of the rehabilitation of this city that sacrificed people, trees and stones for the transition of Iraq from a dictatorial regime to a federal one.
