al-Abed warns of the consequences of "HTS" expansion in occupied Girê Spî canton

The speech of the co-chair of the occupied Girê Spî canton's council commented on the expansion of the mercenaries of "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham" in the occupied canton of Girê Spî.

Local sources from the occupied canton had reported to ANHA’s agency earlier this month that the mercenaries of "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra)" had expanded to a new strategic location at the expense of reducing the influence of the mercenaries of the so-called National Army of the Turkish occupation in the homes of al-Bathawi near from the Armenian farm (southwest of Ain al-Arous).

Thus, the mercenary group has taken control of Girê Spî and Ain al-Arous cantons, in addition to the Girê Spî-Kobani and Girê Spî-Raqqa roads, as it did before when it imposed its control over the village of al-Yabisa and thus the crossing used by the Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries to enter from Turkey to the occupied canton and vice versa.

In this regard, Hamid al-Abed said: "The expansion of the mercenaries of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham in the occupied canton is a dangerous matter and has negative consequences for the region in terms of reviving the takfiri ideology in the region that wreaks havoc and a systematic policy by the Turkish occupation in cooperation with extremist associations (Pakistani, Chechen) which it opened several associations to teach radical Islam.

He added, "The occupied Turkish state seeks by instructing these mercenaries classified as terrorists to expand in the canton and intensify the entry of batches of them and their control over new points to implement what it plans to prepare for a new aggression on the Syrian lands, and work to strike the Autonomous Administration project, taking advantage of the world's preoccupation with the Russian-Ukrainian war."

Al-Abed criticized the silence of the international powers regarding the policy of the Turkish occupier in the occupied territories, which threatens global peace and security, as the occupied territories have become a safe haven of "terrorists and mercenaries" used by the Turkish occupation state in its proxy war in a number of countries.

At the end of his statement, Hamid al-Abed called on the remaining indigenous people in the occupied territories to be alert to this policy and to prepare for the disastrous results of the policy of the Turkish occupation state in the areas it occupies, through resistance and close ranks.

It should be noted that ANHA’s agency documented, on the 31st of October of last year, the entry of more than 60 mercenaries from "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham" coming from Turkey to the occupied Girê Spî canton, and they were stationed in the village of al-Yabisa (3 kilometers west of the occupied canton), while The mercenaries of the "Faylaq al-Majd" of the Turkish occupation, who were stationed in that area, withdrew towards the village of (Khirbet al-Faras, 20 km south of the canton).
