Media affiliated with the Turkish occupation state reported that the deputy foreign ministers of Turkey, Russia, Iran and Syria will hold a meeting on March 15 and 16, in Moscow.

Al-Watan newspaper, which is close to the Damascus government, quoted sources it described as "follow-up" as saying: "The data of the quadripartite meeting have not yet matured, in addition to that Syria's position is still the same, until Turkish guarantees of withdrawal from its lands are obtained, before any political meeting that brings the two sides to one negotiating meeting.

Since the joint press conference of Faisal al-Miqdad and his Iranian counterpart, Hussein Amir Abd Allahiyan, at midnight last Friday, it was clear that the Damascus government did not obtain sufficient guarantees to go to the quadripartite meeting, the Syrian, Turkish, Russian, and Iranian, in Moscow.

The Damascus government is asking for guarantees from its Russian and Iranian allies regarding a clear Turkish commitment to complete withdrawal from Syrian territory, and to stop supporting mercenary groups.

The Moscow meeting, scheduled as an initial date for 15-16 March, may be postponed, as other dates have already been cancelled, such as the Turkish occupation state's talk last January about a meeting of the Syrian, Turkish and Russian foreign ministers in Moscow and then Abu Dhabi, before it became clear that it is just suggestions that have not been discussed in the first place.
