​​​​​​​Bringing in some aid is deceptive policy adopted by Damascus government

 The two earthquakes that struck Bakur Kurdistan and Turkey, affecting several areas in Syria, resulted in the collapse of thousands of homes and buildings, while thousands of them cracked as a result of the severity of the earthquakes.  What forced its residents to go to shelters.

 In the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh, which previously witnessed the attacks of the Turkish occupation mercenaries, which caused damage to buildings and homes;  What prompted the majority of the people to leave their homes as a result of the multiplication of their damage and the increase in their danger and large cracks that may lead to their collapse at any moment.

 Circumstances and the very mentality turned

 The co-chair of the General Council of the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods, Walat Mamo, refers to what the people and the displaced are facing to the two neighborhoods, saying, "We have done our duty to support the people, but the siege imposed on the two neighborhoods by the Damascus government is the reason for our lack of capabilities  to respond to the disaster.

 He explained, "The Damascus government has prevented the entry of the aid to the people."

 Aid consisting of 25 trucks is waiting at the Al-Tayha crossing, provided by the people of the city of Sulaymaniyah to the affected people in the two neighborhoods, in which the Damascus government demands 75% of the aid, in exchange for allowing the passage of the remaining 25%.

 Introducing some aid without others is a deceptive policy!

Mamo criticized the Damascus government's adherence to its mentality, and said: "After the earthquake, many humanitarian positions emerged, but the Damascus government did not change its ossified mentality, and continued its immoral policy."

 He added, "Medicine and infant formula are missing in both neighbourhoods."

 Pointing out that the Damascus government, in order to show itself that it is interested, allowed the passage of some aid while  the most important needs of "flour, fuel, medicine and infant formula."

 The Damascus government seized 50% of the aid sent by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria to the affected people in the Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh and al-Shahba neighborhoods in Aleppo, consisting of 100 tanks of oil derivatives, on February 15, after it stopped at the crossing for 9 days.

 Welat Mamo praised the initiatives of the Autonomous Administration, the Kurdish Red Crescent, and the international aid, by sending aid and said, "The aid, to a certain extent, met some of the needs of the people, but not all."

 The number increases according to the situation that is unstable

 Welat noted that "most of the residents of high-rise buildings have taken refuge in shelters, including tents, halls, mosques, schools, and non-storey houses."

"The number of displaced families is increasing to accommodation centers, with nearly 600 and 700 families," he said.

"The displaced families are also suffering and need help; because the majority of homes are inappropriate for housing fully, because they are without doors and windows."
