Distributing tents for those affected by the earthquake in al-Shahba- Sherawa areas

The Afrin and al-Shahba canton council, through communes and councils, began distributing more than 500 tents to the people affected by the earthquake, in the villages of al-Shahba canton and Sherawa district.

AL-SHAHBA

On Sunday, communes and district councils distributed tents to the people whose homes were damaged, after inspection by the People's Municipality, as a result of the earthquake that struck the area on the 6th of February.

The displaced people of Afrin and the people of al-Shahba set up tents in the squares and in front of their homes, pending the restoration of their homes.

It is scheduled to distribute construction materials by the People's Municipality to the people to restore homes that do not pose a threat to their occupants, and to distribute tents to families whose living in homes poses a threat to their lives.

Al-Shahba canton suffers from a fragile infrastructure as a result of the wars it witnessed in the past years, but the displaced people of Afrin still live in semi-destroyed homes.
