​​​​​​​Autonomous Administration delivers letter to United Nations High Commissioner in Qamishlo

Today, Democratic Autonomous Administration in Jazera region made a statement to the public opinion, in front of the building of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, which is located in the Siyahi neighborhood in the city of Qamishlo.

Members of the Autonomous Administration institutions in the Jazira region participated in the statement, along with representatives of political parties. the co-chair of the Executive Council in the Jezera region, Talaat Younis, made the statement.

Talaat Younis offered condolences to the families of the victims who lost their lives as a result of the earthquake that struck northern Kurdistan, Turkey, and northern and central Syria.

Younis pointed out that Syria was suffering before the earthquake from difficult humanitarian conditions, and this disaster increased the suffering of the citizens.

And he indicated that "the Autonomous Administration, with people assistance, has launched a campaign" to provide assistance to those affected by the earthquake, whether it was logistical, fuel, or anything that can meet the needs of those affected.

He pointed out, "Since the first day, the Turkish occupation state, its mercenaries, and the Damascus government did not allow those convoys to enter the affected areas."

And he called on international powers and global organizations to move quickly; To remove the obstacles and challenges facing the delivery of aid, and also to open the border crossings, in particular the Tal Koçer border crossing, which was closed by a political decision of the UN Security Council, as its closure creates a humanitarian crisis in the regions of NE Syria and also affects all of Syria."

And he stated that they have opened all the crossings and doors to humanitarian aid and relief.

Then the delegation delivered the letter of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Jazera region to the United Nations High Commissioner in the city of Qamishlo, to be handed over later to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres.

And about the content of the message; The co-chair of the Martyrs' Families Council in the city of Qamishlo, Hevi al-Sayed, told ANHA agency's correspondent, "We demanded the opening of the crossings, including the Tal Koçer crossing, to deliver aid to all Syrians without politicization."
