Çiya Kurd to British delegation: Turkish assaults didn't stop, despite humanitarian catastrophe

The delegation included the member of Parliament for the Labor Party, Lloyd Russell Moyley, and the member of Parliament for the Conservative Party, Matthew James Offord. Where they were received by the co-chair of the Department of Foreign Relations, Badran Çiya Kurd, and the co-chairs of the Department, Fener al-Kait and Rubel Baho, and members of the administrative body, Khaled Ibrahim and Golistan Ali, according to the department's media website.

After welcoming the delegation, the co-chair of the Department of Foreign Relations,  Çiya Kurd, said, "The region has recently witnessed the catastrophe of the devastating earthquake that struck Syria and Turkey, including the regions of NE Syria that were affected by this earthquake in a different way compared to other regions, leaving human and material damage."

Çiya  Kurd stated that the Autonomous Administration has prepared large relief convoys to help the afflicted people without discrimination, "whether the areas of the Syrian regime, or the areas of the armed groups under the Turkish occupation, but this aid is still at the crossings and has not been allowed to enter, due to the political positions associated with the armed groups, the Turkish occupation and the Syrian regime in clear discrimination and systematic procrastination towards the Kurdish-majority areas on both sides of the border.

Çiya Kurd stressed the importance of cooperation between the International Coalition and the Syrian Democratic Forces to confront ISIS.

He stressed that the Turkish threats did not stop even in light of this humanitarian catastrophe, which was being bombed with drones and cannons, and continued, "This is clear evidence on the regime's insistence on the policy of extermination towards our people, and the reflection of this policy was clear in dealing with the catastrophic earthquake that struck the region in clear evidence of the Turkish fascist regime's arrogance in killing and destruction.

In turn, the member of parliament for the Labor Party, Lloyd Russell Moyley, said that they came to the region to learn about the region's conditions and needs after the catastrophe of the devastating earthquake, "and they are interested in knowing how you built a system based on the brotherhood of peoples, and coexistence among minorities, religions and sects themselves."

Moyley also thanked the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Autonomous Administration for their continuous fight and struggle against terrorism on behalf of the whole world.

And the member of Parliament for the Conservative Party, Matthew James Offord, called on the international community to bring back its citizens "who committed crimes among the members and families of ISIS, because they cause a security problem that affects not only the Autonomous Administration, but the entire international community."

He expressed his great admiration for the experience of the Autonomous Administration, which was formed from the various components of the region and different religions, and they provide the opportunity for the people to live in harmony despite the diversity, and he said, "This model of the Autonomous Administration will be a model to be emulated by other parts of the world and the Middle East."
