Educational delegation from NE Syria arrives in Germany

At the official invitation of the Teachers Union in Germany, an educational delegation from NE Syria, including the Union of Teachers and the Education Body for NE Syria, visited Germany on February 6, where a series of meetings have been held so far.

The visiting delegation included the co-chair of the Teachers Union in North and East Syria, Nisreen Rishk, and the co-chair of the Education Body for North and East Syria, Dilber Youssef.

The delegation held a series of meetings with several bodies specialized in education, training and political parties.

The delegation met with officials of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, the deputy for the German Left Party Andre Honko, employees of the tagesspiegel newspaper, officials of the Bezirksamt Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg von Berlin Association, in addition to officials of the Kurdish Yekmal e Association.

About the visit, the co-chair of the Teachers Union Nisreen Rishk, spoke to ANHA agency.

She said that their visit began on the 6th of February and is scheduled to continue until the 22nd of this month.

She revealed the reason for their visit by saying: "With the aim of participating in the conference that will be held by the Federation of Teachers in Germany on February 10."

Regarding the discussions that took place between the visiting delegation with the aforementioned authorities, Nisreen Reshak added, "During all the meetings, the education system in NE Syria was introduced, the teaching reality in the region, and the obstacles we face, in addition to the damage to schools after the earthquake that affected Syria, As these parties pledged to send information about these damages to international bodies.
