​​​​​​​YPJ commander: our units have main role of “Revenge for Raqqa’s Martyrs” campaign

Commander of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), Delgin Kobani, spoke to ANHA’s agency about the "Revenge for the Martyrs of Raqqa" campaign launched by the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Internal Security Forces on January 25 to pursue ISIS cells in Raqqa, Tabqa, Sirin and Karama.

Delgin Kobani explained that the campaign received great cooperation and support from the people, and indicated that this support of the people contributed to the prevention of many attacks.

Delgin Kobani revealed that many cells affiliated with ISIS and the Turkish intelligence services have been reached, and that the People's Protection Units play an important role in the campaign, and she said: "We wanted in the Women's Protection Units to participate in the campaign in particular. The main role lies with the fighters of the Women's Protection Units. When The mercenary attack on Raqqa was our comrades' first to confront it, and this is an honor for us, every campaign in which women participate represents a victory for us."

Preventing potential attacks

Delgin Kobani revealed that the campaigns thwarted any possible attacks, and said, "We have supported our people, we have seen their loyalty, and we will always stand with them."

She indicated that there are dirty plans against the gains made by the people, and continued her speech, saying: "The enemy is planning dirty plans against our people. They are targeting our values. Our response is clear, and we are confident that we will win this campaign."

Commander Delgin Kobani revealed that the campaign has so far resulted in the arrest of many mercenaries, including ISIS leaders, in addition to seizing and confiscating quantities of ammunition.
