Raqqa's residents participate in signatures campaign to lift leader isolation

The People's Assembly and the communes of neighborhoods and villages in Raqqa and its countryside participated in a campaign to collect signatures in order to lift the isolation imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan, which was launched by the Popular Initiative for North and East Syria, in coordination with the Syrian Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, on January 22.

The co-chair of the General Council in Raqqa, Louay Al-Issa, said: "We are working and participating in a campaign to collect signatures demanding the physical freedom of the leader Ocalan, as we distributed tables to gather people's councils in Raqqa since the beginning of the campaign's launch, and each council formed a committee to collect signatures by The commune within the neighborhoods and towns.

He added, "On an almost daily basis, we receive a batch of tables signed by committees and communes to be counted and submitted to the Syrian initiative for the freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan." 

He added, "Some of the people's councils in the city have finished collecting signatures, while others are still continuing."

Worth to note that the signature campaign is set to end on February 15th.
