Operations of removing rubble and searching in Sheikh Maqsoud ended

After diligent work to recover and rescue the victims of a building collapse in Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood, which lasted for about 30 hours, the emergency and rescue teams announced the end of the search work, after 18 people were recovered from under the rubble, of whom only two survived, while 16 lost their lives.

The decision to stop the work came after communicating with the survivors and the families of the victims about the presence of other missing persons, so that it became clear that all the missing persons had been reached.

One of those responsible for searching and removing rubble at the site of the building collapse, Mazloum Aleppo, indicated that after about 30 hours of continuous work, they pulled out 18 people, two of whom were alive.

Mazloum confirmed that they contacted all the families of the victims and survivors of the collapse to identify the missing, and the last missing person was Sobhi Jaarour, who was recovered hours ago from under the rubble.

In his turn, one of the volunteers participating in the process of extracting citizens from the rubble, Aref Aliko, said that the spirit of responsibility drives them to continue to sacrifice themselves, to serve the people, and to stand together with each other in times of adversity.

Noting that what affected him the most was the removal of children from under the rubble, and this image will remain in his mind, even after a while.

The teams are scheduled to start removing the rubble, after all the victims have been recovered from under the rubble.
