Participants in funeral ceremony gather in Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood

Thousands of residents of the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods gathered in front of the Martyr Khaled Fajr Hospital, to participate in the funeral ceremonies for the victims of the building collapse in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood.

After the General Council of the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh declared mourning in the two neighborhoods for the souls of the victims of the collapsed residential building, thousands of residents of the two neighborhoods gathered in front of the Martyr Khaled Fajr Hospital, to participate in their funeral ceremonies.

This morning, the death toll rose to 18 people, 16 of whom lost their lives, while two people were injured.

The participants gathered around the hospital on its four sides, to set off towards the village of Banu, located north of Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood, where the funerals of the victims will be held in the village cemetery.

The funeral procession for the 16 citizens who lost their lives as a result of the collapse of the building on the night of Saturday-Sunday will begin shortly.
