MXDŞ welcomes German government's recognition of Yazidi genocide

On Saturday, the Democratic Autonomous Administration  Council in Şengal "MXDŞ" issued a written statement about Germany's recognition of the genocide against  Yazidi community in the summer of 2014.

The statement read: "First of all, we thank the German government and all members of Parliament for their support for the decision to recognize the genocide of the Yazidis, where this decision is important for the Yazidi community."

The statement added, "The exterminations and plans against the Yazidis have not ended yet, as the Kurdistan Democratic Party, which is the cause of the genocide, exploits our people abroad for its benefit, recruits it and makes it hostile to its cause. The agreement of October 9, 2020 is a plan to exterminate the Yazidis.”

The statement called on "all countries that want to recognize the massacre to cancel the October 9 agreement."

It stressed, "All countries must recognize this massacre as genocide, and they should not recognize it in words only, but rather must be recognized in practice, and the acceptance of children of ISIS mercenaries must not be ignored, because it is unacceptable in our beliefs, and it is the duty of the Spiritual Council."

The statement stressed, "Recognizing the genocide is important, but the most important thing is to support the will of the people, and we have come to believe that if Şengal does not become autonomous, the implementation of this agreement will not be prevented."

The statement concluded by saying, "This demand of the Yazidi community must be accepted and met."
