Mercenaries of HTS wages new attack on Damascus forces west of Aleppo

Members of "Omar Ibn Al-Khattab" brigade of "Hayyat Tahrir Al-Sham" have waged an attack on the positions of the Damascus forces on Urm al-Kubra frontline in the western countryside of Aleppo.

Violent clashes have erupted between HTS members and Damascus troops, amid an exchange of artillery and rocket fire in villages and towns in northern Syria.

Meanwhile, Damascus forces stationed in the vicinity fired heavy artillery shells around villages and towns of Taqad and Al-Habatah and Behafis in the western countryside of Aleppo in "De-escalation" area.

Since the beginning of this month, the mercenaries HTS has escalated anti-regime attacks in the northern countryside of Latakia, the western countryside of Aleppo, and the countryside of Idlib since the talk of rapprochement between the Turkish and Syrian governments.

Yesterday, "Ansar Al-Tawhid" gangs, waged an attack on positions of the Damascus forces, on the Maarat Mozhas frontlines south of Idlib.

Violent clashes occurred between the gangs and Damascus forces amid confirmed information of deaths and injuries, amid intensive shelling.

After the operation, Damascus forces began an intense and violent bombardment campaign on towns and villages within Jabal al-Zawiya in the southern countryside of Idlib, whereas the mercenaries of "Ansar al-Tawhid" also targeted the positions of Damascus forces with rockets.

Since the beginning of January, 17 members of the Damascus forces, including an officer, have been killed and 6 others wounded, in addition to the killing of 5 mercenaries of "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham" and a French "jihadi", in addition to the injury of 4 others, during 8 operations, attacks, sniper attacks and clashes.
