Although the Turkish occupation state promoted a lot; Because it seeks rapprochement with Damascus, however, when negotiating and before the talks moved from intelligence and military to political, it passed messages clarifying its existing intentions that it would not make concessions that would affect its influence and occupation of the Syrian regions.

After superficial statements about the readiness of the Turkish occupation; To hand over the occupied areas to the Damascus government, Ankara backed down by saying, "This withdrawal will take place after stabilization in Syria."

The most dangerous and expressive statement of Turkish intentions was made by the advisor to the Turkish occupation president, Yassin Aktay, who claimed that handing over the administration of Aleppo to Turkey; The ideal solution for the return of Syrian refugees, and this is what many considered as an explicit call to occupy the Syrian Aleppo.

An explicit expression of ambitions

The Secretary-General of the Syrian Change and Renaissance Party, Mustafa Qalaji, whose origin from the city of Aleppo. He commented on this to ANHA’s agency, by saying: "Yassin Aktay did not come up with anything new, but rather he explicitly expressed Turkey's ambitions, which continued and never end up, and its Misak-ı Milli and actions on the ground express that. This indicates the reality of what Erdogan seeks, which is to benefit from the situation only, to overcome his crisis and achieve his victory in the upcoming elections in June.

Regarding Aktay's retraction of these statements by saying that they represent his personal opinion only, Qalaji explained, "This speech expresses the opinion of his boss and the opinion of the occupation government. He cannot state otherwise. He is part of an entire system and he is a first-class employee, and his statement is held accountable if it contradicts." his government's policy.

Moscow is only looking out for its own interests

Qalaji also linked this statement to the path of rapprochement between the Damascus government and the Turkish occupation, saying: "It is only to increase the volume of requests from the Syrian state, and it is nothing but a political bazaar." Regarding Moscow's position on these statements, Qalaji said: "Moscow is the party that has a dual interest between Turkey and Syria, as it cannot turn blind eyes to its agreements in Syria, to take into account its interests on the Mediterranean water, and at the same time it needs Turkey now because of its war on Ukraine, and therefore It seeks to reconcile the two parties, not out of love for bringing peace to the region, reaching a political solution, and ending the state of war, which is very costly for everyone, but rather for the sake of its interests first and foremost.

The agreement between the Damascus government and the Autonomous Administration is a historical necessity

The Damascus government, in turn, expressed its refusal to complete any rapprochement without the Turkish occupation leaving the Syrian lands, as Bashar al-Assad considered that "the Syrian-Turkish meetings, sponsored by Russia, must be based on ending the occupation in order for them to be fruitful." In his turn, the Damascus government's foreign minister said, Faisal al-Miqdad: "It is not possible to talk about restoring normal relations with Turkey without removing the occupation."

Qalaji touched upon ways to end the occupation and the Syrian crisis, pointing out that the agreement between the Damascus government and the Autonomous Administration; It is the basis of any solution if the intentions of the two parties are in this direction, and for your information, the two parties need each other, and the dialogues are supposed to be continuing to achieve this for the benefit of all Syrians, and this constitutes a historical necessity now, and each party must bear its responsibility towards achieving this.
